Returns and refunds

We hope you love your find from The Forgotten Room. If something isn’t right, please contact theforgottenroom.uk@gmail.com and we’ll help.

Changing your mind

You can cancel your order without giving a reason from the time you order until 14 days after delivery. If your order arrives in separate parcels, this period ends 14 days after the last item arrives.

Email us with your order number and the items you wish to return. You must send the items back within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel.

Return postage and packaging

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the return postage costs. We do not charge a restocking fee.

Please package items securely, particularly frames and glass. Original packaging is helpful but is not required. We recommend keeping proof of postage.

You may inspect your purchase as you would in a shop. We may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the item’s nature, characteristics and functioning.

Vintage condition

Many of our pieces are vintage or previously owned. Please read the description and view the photographs for details of age, wear and condition. Disclosed wear does not remove your right to cancel an online purchase.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or different from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Photographs of the item and packaging, where available, help us investigate.

We will cover reasonable return costs where an item is faulty, misdescribed or supplied incorrectly. Your statutory rights are unaffected by the change-of-mind return window.

Refunds

For change-of-mind returns, we will refund you using your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Where applicable, your refund includes the original standard delivery charge. Additional charges for an upgraded delivery service are not refundable beyond the standard delivery cost.
